Anthony Dawson

Anthony Dawson was a chorister at Canterbury Cathedral, a music scholar at King's Canterbury, a choral scholar at St John's College Cambridge and a foundation scholar at the Guildhall in London. Subsequently he was awarded a scholarship to study with Peter Pears at the Britten-Pears School in Snape, Aldeburgh. He began his career in Benjamin Britten's English Opera Group, the English Music Theatre and with the BBC Singers. For six years he directed the Kent Youth Chamber Choir and coached all the Kent Youth Choirs and was Head of Singing at Sevenoaks School for over a decade. He is now a busy freelance singing teacher and choral director.
